"UC Has the Money" Town Hall

You must click here to RSVP via Zoom

This town hall is for you if you:

  • Have ever wondered if UC management was being truthful about their financial position.

  • Want to understand UC's revenue sources and budgeting priorities.

  • Are interested in arming yourself with facts and knowledge to counter UC's narrative.

  • See just how outrageous UC's financial practices and misplaced priorities are.

With UC's deep pockets, there's no excuse for them not to take better care of the hardworking folks who make this university shine. Continuing to build a strong, member-led union is our ticket to a better deal at UC. When we join together and speak up, we can make real changes for ourselves and our co-workers. Please join us on August 30 at 7 pm via Zoom to learn more.

Did you know that:

  • UC receives more National Institutes of Health funding than any other entity in the country?

  • UC's investment assets have grown to $152.3 billion, a 60.5% increase since 2014?

  • UC received over $7.2 billion in grants, contracts, and gifts last year?

  • UC has $15.1 billion stashed away in reserves?

UC is wealthier than most of us can even imagine. They can absolutely afford to invest in us and acknowledge the value our hard work. That's why on August 30 at 7 pm, we're hosting a "UC Has the Money" Town Hall. We're planning to share even more information about UC's financial position and poke holes in their ongoing insistence that they're somehow broke or unable to keep up with fair market pay for our work. You can click here to RSVP.
