    The unit is now in "status quo" which means UC may not make any changes to the terms and conditions of any HX individual, department, shift, location, job classification, etc.

2011 HX Timeline
May:
  • All HX employees will receive a 1% range adjustment on the first day of the first full pay period on or following May 1, 2011.  

  • There will be a lump sum payment equivalent to 1% of the average HX salary over the 5-month period from December 1, 2010 thru April 30, 2011.

  • To be eligible for the lump sum payment, the employee must be on pay status in the HX unit on December 1, 2010 and on the compute date for the first full pay period on or following May 1, 2011. The lump sum will be paid in the regular pay check issued for the first full pay period following 60 days after April 1, 2011.

July 1:

  • HX unit employees will begin paying a 1.5% contribution into the UCRP.

  • Everyone on the step system will move up one step of approximately 2%. Those on experience-based steps will move up according to those structures.

  • Employees who are topped out will receive a lump sum annualized payment of approximately 2%.

August 30:

  • We will sunshine UC for 2012 bargaining.

September:

  • Bargaining team has a three-day training in Berkeley. Team begins working on contract language.

October:

  • We begin negotiations with UC.

December 31:

  • Current contract expires.
